All other handset will have to wait for some more time.
The mobile version will be able to synchronize with the desktop version and a web page open in the desktop version will open automatically in the mobile version.
Software will mean that any web pages open in a user’s desktop browser will automatically open in the mobile version.
Jay Sullivan who is heading the project told the BBC,
“At the end of the working day you can walk away from your computer and keep on going on your phone,”
“It encrypts all of the information and sends it back through the cloud between your desktop and mobile.”
He said that providing there were no “show stoppers”, the software could be available to download “within the year”.
There is a sudden rise in the number of smart phones and mobile operating system. Firefox which is already one of the most popular browser is trying to tap into the mobile market as well. The mobile versions of the browser for Windows and Android mobile are also under development however the browser for iPhone would not be available any time soon since Apple has a a closed platform.
This launch would put Fennec in close competition with Opera and Safari which are the first and second most popular mobile browsers respectively according to Stats Counter.
